Railroad Tracks

365 Magical Moments: Day 22

There was something a bit lonely about viewing these railroad tracks that are no longer used and are showing signs that nature is taking over.

Sharing With The Cat

365 Magical Moments: Day 21

This was too funny not to take a snap of it. My youngest son decided he wanted to share his chips/crisps with the cat. Apparently, the cat really loves food made from potatoes. (I stopped my little boy before he put the thoroughly chewed and nibbled potato chip back in his own mouth.)

Sharing With The Cat 21st 2011

"If we treated everyone we meet with the same affection we bestow upon our favorite cat, they, too, would purr."

365 Magical Moments: Day 12

This is taken from a pretty holly bush that is in our next door neighbor's front yard. Holly berries and leaves always remind me of Christmas and winter.

A Bit Of Sun Amongst The Clouds

365 Magical Moments: Day 11

We had another day with a little bit of sunshine, and I was happy for every tiny bit of sun that showed itself.

Saturday, 8 January 2011

We haven't had much sun lately, but today, though cold, was beautfully sunny. I didn't get out with the camera until the sun was beginning to set though. Still, it was worth it to get this photo of the sunset.

365 Magical Moments: Day 6

I have this decorative seashell filled with other tiny, decorative seashells. It's just something I picked up years ago at the craft store, back when I lived in California.

One of the things I really miss about living in California is the beach. I miss sitting on a rocky outcropping along the 17-mile drive or just past Cannery Row in Monterey and watching the waves crash against the rocks.

This little seashell decoration reminds me of it.

Cherry Candycanes

365 Magical Moments: Day 5

This morning, a package arrived from my mom in the US. It had in it, amongst other things, a box of cherry candycanes. Finding candycanes other than peppermint ones is not easy to do here in the UK. None of the stores where I live carry any candycanes other than peppermint. Because of this, my children were very excited to have cherry ones arrive.
